Dr. Shashowt Ojha is board certified in Sports Medicine and Family Medicine, with a focus on emerging biologic treatments and ultrasound-guided procedures. He offers a range of in-office treatments, including cortisone injections, platelet-rich plasma (PRP), Iovera, prolotherapy, and percutaneous tenotomies. His patient-centered approach emphasizes personalized treatment plans that help patients restore function, improve mobility, and return to the activities they enjoy.
Complementing his work in Sports Medicine and Regenerative Medicine, Dr. Ojha specializes in Functional Medicine to address the broader factors that influence recovery, performance, and long-term health. He prioritizes sleep, resistance training, gut health, stress reduction, and blood sugar regulation as foundations of care. When lifestyle changes alone are not enough, he offers targeted interventions, including hormone replacement therapy.
Dr. Ojha grew up in Fort Worth, Texas, and earned his Bachelor of Science in Biology from the University of Texas at Arlington before receiving his Doctor of Medicine as well as his Master of Public Health from St. George’s University. He underwent Family Medicine residency at Northwell Health in New York, where he served as Chief Resident and received the Resident Teacher of the Year award. He then completed his Sports Medicine fellowship at Louisiana State University in Baton Rouge, where he cared for athletes on LSU’s football, basketball, track and field, and gymnastics teams. During fellowship, he also volunteered on medical teams at local marathons and taught medical students in the cadaver lab.
Outside of medicine, Dr. Ojha enjoys playing guitar, acrylic painting, traveling, and, most of all, spending time with his wife, Rina, who beats him at tennis more often than he would like to admit.
