Dr.Arush Angirasa, has been in private practice since 2005. He specializes in footand ankle trauma and reconstructive surgery, including fractures, total ankleimplants, Charcot reconstruction, complex revision and limb salvage.
Hegraduated from the prestigious University of Chicago with an undergraduatedegree, which included 4 years of research in the Department of Neurosurgery atthe University of Chicago Hospitals. Subsequently, he attended SchollCollege/Chicago Medical School followed by residency at Loyola UniversityChicago Orthopedic Surgery department, where he was under the tutelage ofseveral distinguished podiatric and orthopedic surgeons. He had the privilegeof spending over one year learning and training under Dr. Michael Pinzur, apreeminent Foot and Ankle Orthopaedic Surgeon, and a world renowned expert inCharcot reconstruction and foot/ankle reconstructive surgery.
Heis currently a clinical assistant professor at the University of Texas HealthScience Center, San Antonio.
Heis an active consultant and national lecturer for several companies andeducational forums, with several peer reviewed original research publications.
Whennot working, his hobbies include guitar playing, sports and athletics, andspending time with his family.
