Dr. Jimenez is an excellent surgeon. My husband Brannon Taylor had left hip replacement on August 28, 2018 due to hip arthritis; both the ball and socket cartilage were worn down. However, during surgery Dr. Jimenezsaw that the socket was much worse than most patients, and the ball of the hip had dug itself all the way through the socket and into the bone of the pelvis. Right on the spot he built a bone graft to replace lost pelvic bone and rebuild the socket, and then completed the rest of the hip replacement.Dr Jimenez uses the newer anterior incision method which heals much more quickly than the older posterior incision method.Dr. Jimenez spends plenty of time with us at each appointment, explains everything well and answers questions. He is patient. My husband was walking well right away after surgery (with a walker). Ditched the walker after 2 1/2 weeks. Played 18 holes golf and did regular exercise routine at YMCA after about 9 weeks. Between day 2 post surgery and 9 weeks he had excellent physical therapy, first from Capitol Home Health (recommended by Dr. Jimenez) and then from Results Physiotherapy which we also highly recommend. Before the surgery my husband had pain level 2-3, but it was all day every day and getting worse every month. Now he has no pain at all in the hip.
