Vito A. Loguidice, M.D.
Spine Surgery Specialist

In 1988, Dr.
Loguidice became one of the founding members of the Orthopedic
Associates of the Greater Lehigh Valley.
He received his B.S. in Biochemistry from Manhattan
College and his M.D. from S.U.N.Y. Upstate Health Science
Center in 1981. Dr.
Loguidice performed both his internship and residency at the
West Virginia University Hospital.
In 1987, he completed his fellowship in spinal surgery
at the University of Texas Health Science Center-Dallas and
the Texas Back Institute.
Dr. Loguidice
is certified by the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery and
the American Board Of Spine Surgery.
He is a member of numerous professional societies
including the American Medical Society, Pennsylvania Medical
Society, American Association of Orthopaedic Surgeons, North
American Spine Society, American Back Society, Spine
Arthoplasty Society, International Society for Minimally
Invasive Spine Surgery, International Intradiscal Therapy
Society and the International Association for the Study of
Pain.
Dr. Loguidice
is an innovator in the field of spinal surgery, most recently
in the area of Kyphoplasty
procedures (a
minimally invasive procedure for the treatment of vertebral
compression fractures related to osteoporosis).
He currently serves as clinical instructor for Kyphon
on a national and international basis, most recently instructing a
course in Antwerp, Belgium.
Other areas of special interest are: minimally invasive
spine surgery including percutaneous discectomy, pedicle screw
fixation and fusion procedures.
His current research in progress includes a study on
vertebral compression fractures, post-operative aquatic
therapy protocols, and an orthotrac vest.
